Today I was actually supposed to get my stitches removed.
But my new doctor noticed there’s nothing to remove. The surgeon had used Vicryl sutures (self-dissolving).
During the wound check, he discovered I’ve probably developed a complication: a so-called tension blister had to be opened.

Because of this, I have to wait another week before starting full weight-bearing.
But now I’ve been given a night splint. Finally I can sleep without the shoe – for just 14 days post-op, that’s pretty good progress.

Starting next week, I can work from home again – that’ll definitely help time pass faster.
I tried to wash my leg, but I’m probably still being too cautious. In the meantime, the skin is starting to peel off on its own.
I’ll have to send my brother out to get me a scrub.
