After I went to the pub with friends yesterday for the first time in ages, I was determined to tackle my first short Alpine hike today. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as I had hoped.
However, the outing had its physical benefits: while standing, I could continuously load the operated leg to keep building strength.
Due to the equinus position, it’s not possible to walk even moderately over scree and pathless terrain. Even the simple T2 hiking trails were completely out of the question.

The original plan was to do the 5 sets of physio exercises at 5 different locations.
That didn’t work out—so I did the training in small lay-bys beside the mountain roads. Unfortunately, that also didn’t work well, as it sounds easier on inclines than it actually is.

Nevertheless, mentally it was a 10/10, while physically it was more like a 3/10.
